Glashutte Company History:
Glashutte, or Glashutte Original, has its roots in 1845 when A. Lange & Sohne was founded in the German town of Glashutte. On July 1, 1951 all the independent watch companies in Glashutte were merged into one conglomerate: VEB Glashutter Uhrenbetriebe. Then, in 1994, with the privatization of VEB Glashutter Uhrenbetriebe, Glashutte Original was founded. Later, in 2000, the company joined the Swatch Group. The Glashutte Original company is one of the oldest companies to have always made their own movements and models. Many people consider pre-owned Glashutte watches, used Glashutte watches & second hand Glashutte watches all the same, but a Gray & Sons Glashutte watch is something different altogether. All our watches are serviced and polished to like new condition and come with our twelve month warranty and Like New for Life policy. Our after sales service commitment is second to none in the world, backed by our six in house Swiss-trained watchmakers and jewelers.
