We are now seeking a dynamic General Manager and Head of Asset Acquisition to help lead our next chapter of growth.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated General Manager and Head of Asset Acquisition with estate jewelry and pre-owned luxury watch or luxury pawn management experience to oversee all departments and daily operations, ensuring excellence in service, performance, and profitability. This is a hands-on, family-owned business, not a corporate brand boutique. The right person is on the showroom floor, in the workshop, and in buying conversations every day. You will supervise and coordinate a team of 22 employees across: Jewelry and Watch Repair Workshop, Shipping and Logistics, Showroom, Online & Phone Sales, Catalog, Website, Marketing and Accounting Departments. This position requires a strong leader with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as the ability to interact effectively with clients and staff. Understanding of buying and selling fine watches and jewelry, asset evaluation, appraising Swiss timepieces and fine jewelry, risk assessment, retail sales, consignment, pre-owned luxury trading is essential. Strong analytical and math skills are required and will be tested.

Key Responsibilities

Executive leadership, oversee day-to-day operations across all departments to ensure efficiency and quality. Scale performance, productivity, and teamwork among all employees. Manage workflow between in-house teams. Lead the daily buying desk: Evaluate, price, and negotiate purchases of watches and jewelry from walk-in clients, estates, and the trade. Oversee high-ticket appraisals of Swiss timepieces and fine estate jewelry, and handle direct dealings with high-value clients and vendors, ensuring premium service at every touchpoint.

Requirements

• Experience with fine watches and estate jewelry is a must.
• Proven track record in luxury asset operations, expert valuations, dealer and secondhand buying and selling, acquisition/retail of pre-owned jewelry and luxury watches. 
• Hands-on buying expertise and strong negotiation skills are a must.
• Strong leadership and team management skills; able to motivate and develop staff.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Multilingual – English and Spanish required; additional languages a plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, multitasking with hands-on management style.
• GIA or equivalent gemological credentials are a strong plus.
• Only candidates with a proven record of job stability and experience will be considered.
• Professional references upon request.
• Prior executive leadership as an Owner-Operator, Head Buyer, Regional Manager, VP, or Store Director within the high-end jewelry/watch trading or luxury pawn sectors.
• Finalists will complete a practical assessment covering valuations and financial proficiency.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Comprehensive Compensation & Benefits Package: $150,000 to $200,000 (depending on experience), including: Salary, 401(k) & Profit-Sharing Opportunities, Health Insurance, Paid Vacation.
