Watch of the Month - Ladies Patek Philippe Calatrava ref. #4858

Why We Love It: The Calatrava is Patek Philippe’s signature model, originally created in 1932, inspired by the German Bauhaus design and architecture aesthetic. The Patek Philippe Calatrava 4858 is a special reference that features just a dash of complication along with aesthetic upgrades carried out by the factory. At the heart of the watch, we have a Patek Philippe manually wound 18-jewel movement that powers the time indication along with a running seconds sub-dial located near the 9 o’clock position. Additionally, the watch has a bold and beautiful moonphase indicator near 4 o’clock with gold elements that match the diamond-studded hour markers found throughout the dial. Other visual elements include a factory guilloche-patterned dial finished in a playful brown tone that reacts beautifully in a range of lighting situations. The case of the Patek Philippe Calatrava 4858 is also 29mm in diameter and crafted out of 18k yellow gold. Perhaps the most stunning aspect of the case however is the factory bezel set with 66 diamonds, which total 0.44 cts in white diamonds. While the diamonds are certainly visually impressive, the effect they achieve with the gold case, brown dial and brown satin strap really makes this one of the more unique Calatrava models available.
