Not polished! Heuer Autavia "Rindt" Chronograph with panda dial in stainless steel with original Heuer steel bracelet. Rotating "Diver" bezel with Valjoux Cal.72. Manual w/ subseconds and chronograph. 40 mm case size. Ref 2446-c. Circa 1960s. The word "Autavia" is a combination of two words: Automotive & Aviation. Heuer originally applied the moniker to the dashboard clocks and instruments used in automobiles and aircraft, but recycled it in the feature a reverse panda triple register dial layout and outer rotating bezel. They were made famous by legendary Formula 1 driver Jochen Rindt. Rindt was German born but represented Austria throughtout his racing career, wearing 2446 model similar to this. Circa 1960.
