Blancpain Le Brassus Split-Seconds Chronograph 4246P-3442A-55B Watch Repair

#1 Blancpain Le Brassus Split-Seconds Watch Service

When Jehan-Jacques Blancpain started making watches in 1735, he never imagined his designs and timepieces would survive through the years and become a major player in the luxury watch world. He began his company in the top floor of his home in what is present day Bernese Jura in Switzerland. His grandson, many years later, turned the house hold watchmaking name into a mass-producing workshop for serial production. The family sold the company to two company associates in 1932 when Berthe-Nellie, the only child of Frederic-Louis, had no interest in the watchmaking empire. Since then the partners made it an emphasis to not alter the vision Blancpain was known for and retain its Watchmaking DNA. Gray and Sons have always enjoyed the history and prestigious formula Blancpain has to offer the industry and has specialized in the servicing of these timepieces.

Blancpain Le Brassus Split-Seconds Chronograph Watch Repair

Here at Gray and Sons we specialize in delivering the best quality in service of all Blancpain models. We recently had a Blancpain Le Brassus Split Second come through the shop for repair. The watch's time keeping was below standards and the hands were put of alignment. Factory specifications indicate you should routinely have your Blancpain serviced every 3-4 years taking into consideration the owners operating habits. This Blancpain Le Brassus, reference 4246P-3442A-55B, has a classic 42MM case measurement. The timepiece has a date display at the 6 o'clock position. The watch comes with a split second feature which allows the user to keep the time of an event that may not end at the same time. Our in-house watchmakers and polishers with over 150 years of combined experience serving the Coral Gables and greater Miami area, took upon themselves to return this watch to its factory specifications. To begin the process, our master watchmaker carefully disassembles the case to separate the movement from the container housing all of the casing components. The case is then sent to our polisher for case refinishing to restore the luster of this Blancpain. Now with the movement carefully out of the watch case, our master watchmaker begins disassembling the components piece by piece. During which they are meticulously inspecting each part for wear or damage to properly ensure the lifespan of the service.

Once completely torn down to the last screw, the movement is gently placed into our ultrasonic cleaner which will use vibration in three different solutions. During the process, old coagulated oil is dissolved and components are cleaned and returned to their original clean state. Once the movement parts are dried our master watchmaker begins assembly by carefully putting together each component in their appropriate order while checking pivot end shakes and freedom for accurate function. During reassembly of the Blancpain, the watchmaker uses four different synthetic oils to lubricate each point of friction and rotation through factory specifications. Movement is then tested for timing accuracy and amplitude to ensure all proper adjustments were made during the reassembly process. With a freshly clean and regulated movement, it is time to return the movement into its beautiful polished case where it will again be checked for functionality and display. The Blancpain is water tested to its suggested depths to ensure water resistance. The watch will then be put on time and quality controlled over the course of 1-2 weeks to observe its power reserve and automatic system. Gray and Sons is proud to be your choice for Blancpain services and repairs to return your timepiece to its original working condition.
