A client recently dropped off their Carl Bucherer Patravi Calendar, reference 00.10629.03.33.01, due to a winding issue the customer was experiencing. Factory specifications indicate you should routinely have your Carl F. Bucherer serviced every 3-4 years taking into consideration the owners operating habits. This Patravi has a 50 meter dive capability with a stylish 43 MM case measurement in 18K Rose Gold. The dial has a day indicator at 9 o'clock along with the date displayed at 11 o'clock. once completely torn down to the last screw, the movement is gently placed into our ultrasonic cleaner which will use vibration in three different solutions. during the process, old coagulated oil is dissolved and components are cleaned and returned to their original clean state. once the movement parts are dried our master watchmaker begins assembly by carefully putting together each component in their appropriate order while checking pivot end shakes and freedom for accurate function. while assembly of this timepiece is going on, the watchmaker discovers the reason behind the winding issue. a clutch wheel seemed to have been damaged and needed to be repaired. our watchmakers were able to adjust the wheel and fix it's functionality. during reassembly of the patravi, the watchmaker uses four different synthetic oils to lubricate each point of friction and rotation through factory specifications. movement is then tested for timing accuracy and amplitude to ensure all proper adjustments were made during the reassemble process. with a freshly clean and regulated movement, it is time to return the movement into its beautiful refinished case where it will again be checked for functionality and display. the carl bucherer is water tested to its suggested depths to ensure water resistance. watch will then be put on time and quality controlled over the course of 1-2 weeks to observe its power reserve and automatic system. gray and sons is proud to be your choice for breguet services and repairs to return your timepiece to its original working condition.

Each-pre-owned watch that we sell at Gray & Sons has undergone a sophisticated inspection by our master trained technicians. That means that timepieces have been tested inside and out to ensure functionality as well as timekeeping.
Whenever they need to repair or replace an individual component, our watchmakers use Swiss parts. These components, whenever possible, come from the manufacturer. Sometimes our master watchmakers fabricate and refurbish parts that are not otherwise available to us to purchase from the manufacturer and they come from our sources.
Note: Occasionally, custom leather straps, bands, dials, and stones may be added outside the original manufacturer by the prior owner to upgrade the look of a certified pre-owned watch.
