Amazing Corum Admiral Cup Chrono Repair

The perfect companion for an Admiral or a skipper sailing with friends - perfect fixed by our watchmakers

Corum was established in 1955, it is still a relatively young Swiss watch brand by Swiss standards. They rapidly made a name for themselves by producing high-quality timepieces and creating very recognizable signature collections.

Their oldest signature collection is the Admiral’s Cup. It was launched in 1960, barely 3 years after the first Admiral’s Cup International Yacht Race. It continues to be produced successfully up to today.

The Admiral’s Cup Chronograph 4xxx mm case is powered by Corum’s Caliber Ref 7752. It is a self-winding mechanical chronograph movement with a COSC chronometer certification for its reliability and accuracy.

The Corum Admiral Cup beautifully displays hours, minutes, seconds, and date.

This movement offers a very handy chronograph function to be used for yacht racing and works at 28,800 vibrations/hour with a 42-hour power reserve.

One of the more recognizable features of this collection is the use of nautical pennants as the hour markers, also these flags represent the numbers supposed to be on each marker as internationally used and recognized for code signals.

Another distinctive feature is their unique 12-sided case, boasting an impressive 44mm diameter as a symbol of strength. It is made of 18K rose gold, a timepiece easy to recognize, and a good conversation piece in any given meeting.

Another important feature to be mentioned is the exclusive Corum lockout system that gives this watch secure and easy-to-use locking push buttons for the chronograph function.

The screw-down crown and push buttons are engraved with the Corum key logo.

This watch has a convex glare-proof sapphire crystal, and also a sapphire crystal case back so it is very easy to admire the awesome movement that powers this movement at all times.

The watch features a black alligator strap with an 18 carat rose gold tang buckle.

It is the best-selling collection made by Corum up to now.

This service and overhaul process will take approximately 4 to 6 weeks.

STEP 1: DISASSEMBLY

We will start with disassembling the watch to its basic components and give the case and tang buckle to our polishers to make it look almost like new.

STEP 4: REASSEMBLY AND REAPPLICATION OF LUBRICANTS

Once the lubrication process is finished, we will assemble the watch and add new lubrication. We will replace all the gaskets to make sure that the watch is water-resistant and has an appropriate working amplitude, is accurate, the self-winding is working and the power reserve is as originally designed, to last 42 hours. We will do all these by hand, also using computers, testing machines, and special tools specially designed for each task.

STEP 5: QUALITY CONTROL

Once we finish servicing your watch and the polishers have done their magic, it's time to quality control your timepiece. We will put it on a winding wheel, which simulates wrist motion. Our watch specialists will keep it in the wheel for up to 10 days for quality control, regulation of the movement, checking the automatic and Chrono functions and winding in multiple ways, as well as checking the power reserve after that.

We also test for timekeeping so when it leaves our boutique, it leaves almost like when it left the factory following the manufacturer’s specifications. We will also check the water resistance in 2 different specially designed machines so the watch will be safely used while boating and in seawater.

STEP 5: QUALITY CONTROL
STEP 6: WARRANTY

After Gray and Sons repair

STEP 6: WARRANTY

After the service is done, your watch will come with a 12-month warranty.
