Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Geographic Watch Maintenance - Finest Service of JLC Watches
JLC was originally established in 1833 as LeCoultre & Cie., following Antoine LeCoultre’s invention of a new machine that could cut watch pinions out of steel. Antoine then invented the Millionomètre in 1844, which was, at the time, the most precise measuring instrument in the world. Jacques-David LeCoultre and Edmond Jaeger became partners in 1937, renaming the company Jaeger-LeCoultre. JLC continues to create innovative and compelling timepieces such as the Jaeger-LeCoultre AMVOX, the JLC Reverso, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor, and more.
Jaeger-LeCoultre released the first Geographique model in 1990. The watch featured a second time zone indicator that, along with a window revealing a rotating display of the names of major cities around the world, allowed the owner to see the time for significant destinations around the world. The watch was powered by a JLC Calibre 929 automatic self-winding movement comprised of 310 separate parts, including a 22 karat gold automatic rotor. The movement is rhodium plated, with perlage and Cote de Geneve finishes, visible by opening the hinged display case back behind which is a sapphire crystal exhibition window to display the movement.
