How the Gray & Sons Estimate Process Works

Once your watch arrives safely—either in person or through the approved shipping process—our watchmaking team performs the diagnostic evaluation appropriate to the timepiece and requested service.

• For Luxury Watches: We inspect the movement, case, crystal, bracelet, and water resistance seals. We identify worn gears, dried lubricants, bent components, or cosmetic refinishing needs.

2. Detailed Line-Item Estimate

Following the inspection, we issue a clear, written estimate detailing:

• Necessary service requirements (e.g., full movement overhaul, gasket replacement, polishing)
• Optional cosmetic or preventative recommendations
• Estimated parts and skilled labor for the inspected scope, with proposed part type and availability disclosed where applicable

3. Your Review & Final Approval

You receive the estimate directly via phone, email, or in person.
